TURNING REAL ESTATE WEBSITES INTO A POWERFUL SALES TOOLS
Case Study #1
A WEBSITE WITH MANY ISSUES
When we started working with Prestige, we found a website with many issues. Among them were technical issues, content issues, and design issues.
The main technical issues with the site were twofold. Google returned a lot of errors on their data (MLS) pages, and it also flagged many caching issues that affect speed and usability.
On the content front, the issues were twofold as well. The site was poorly set up for SEO, with many of the terms they scored high on leading to the home page -- which was a giant image of Killington Mountain with no call to action. The second issue with the content is that it was primarily data-driven (MLS content) with little or no information about the reasons why you should chose them as your trusted broker over other brokers.
Design-wise, the site was dated, and it was absolutely not optimized for various screen sizes. So on some screens you would see condo rooftops, mountain tops, or inside ceilings.
ELEGANT AND DELIVERING REAL RESULTS
The new site was designed from the ground up to display properly on multiple screen sizes. The content was balanced so that next to the data-driven, MLS content, there was also a lot of content allowing you to connect on a emotional level with the brokers.
We made sure to optimize the SEO so that none of the old authority and SEO were lost during the switchover, and we were able to get multiple pages listed on Google -- eliminating having the same page compete with itself for multiple key-phrases.
In the first three months of operations we increased the number of leads by 20% compared the same three months the prior year. Not only that,we increased lead quality by 50% -- by eliminating all but 1 rental lead, which they do not do. Prestige can also attribute at least one sale to their new website within the first 3 month.
Lastly, we took many original photos and drone shots to show the area through the lens of real estate sales.
Case Study #2
A WEBSITE FROM A DIFFERENT ERA
When we started working with Blue Spruce Realty, we found a website with many issues. As with many other clients, we found technical issues, content issues, and design issues.
The site looked like it was from a different web era, and it certainly did not deliver any value. It was performing poorly on Google, it was not connected to an MLS system, it was insecure, and it certainly did not try to convince you why to choose them over someone else.
That being said, the family team had a great and fun culture, and a stellar reputation in the area.
FUN, INNOVATIVE AND DELIVERING REAL RESULTS
When we built the new site, the first thing we focused on was to embed the company's culture into the site -- delivering value and being innovative. Those core principle are so strong for them that we wanted them to ooze of the site.
We documented fun stories, like the mullet house story and the gravel pit treatment, two stories that typify how they operate. We refreshed the logo, took some original photography, including drone photography and videography, wrote all the copy, and optimized all the pages, including community pages, for SEO.
