    Zillow — friend or foe?

Some real estate brokers and agents think of Zillow as a great lead generation engine — they predictably deliver good quality leads.

Some sellers, brokers, and agents, think of Zillow as a great marketing engine — they have a vast online reach.

But what do you make of Zillow’s latest offers? Their “instant offer” option – where a buyer can make an offer to a seller, directly through the Zillow platform; or their direct purchase and sale of homes — where they buy and sell the property directly from the seller or to the buyer?

Are they not dis-intermediating the broker or the agent?

As a broker or an agent — how do you prepare for that future? By lowering your fees? By offering flat fees? Or by becoming customer-centric to a fault?

We’d love to hear your strategies. We have a few opinions of our own, which we’ll publish in the near future.
